The collar is stiff and poseable The skull slide is cast li-qui-che, which means it is lightweight and break resistant unlike ceramic. I used to buy ceramic but now I cast them myself and they are the same forms, just better material. The front ties of the cape simply slide through the top of the skull and out the bottom, then one tie and it will all stay put (no need to double knot).
