Set of 10 Russian nesting dolls depicting animals going into battle. There are some marks on various different nesting dolls please look at pictures throughly, Hand Written paper I obtained with these dolls breaks down each scene- 1st doll-Lion King summoned his servants to ask advice.2nd doll-All the Animals put on their armors. 3rd doll- The crow blew the horn. 4th Doll- Even the King put on his armor. 5th doll -The crow drew his sword. 6th doll -The rabbit attacked. 7th Doll - the hen got excited. 8th doll-The mouse ran to hide. 9th doll Depicts 2 swans and the last doll I think is a dove. Tried to get as many pictures as I could to show condition. I believe this is depicting a Russian fairytale I can?t find which one. The painted animals are really well done.
