Descripción del Artículo

SEED- European Mountain Ash Rowan Sorbus Aucuparia Shade Tree Bonsai Berries Description of Mountain Ash (Sorbus aucuparia): The mountain ash, also known as rowan, is a deciduous tree in the Rosaceae family, Native to Europe and Asia,. It typically grows 20?40 feet tall with a rounded to oval crown. Its pinnate leaves consist of 11?15 leaflets with serrated edges, turning golden-yellow or red in autumn. In late spring to early summer, the tree produces clusters of small white flowers, followed by bright orange-red berries in late summer or fall. How It Grows: Growth Rate: Medium, typically adding 1?2 feet per year. Habitat: Prefers cool climates and is often found in mountainous or upland areas. Soil: Tolerant of a variety of soils, including acidic and alkaline, but prefers well-drained loamy soil. Light: Thrives in full sun but tolerates partial shade. Watering: Moderate water needs; drought-tolerant once established. Hardiness: USDA Zones 3?6. How to Care for It: Planting: Choose a sunny location with well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and at the same depth. Watering: Water regularly during the first growing season to establish roots. Reduce watering as the tree matures. Pruning: Prune in late winter to remove dead or diseased branches and shape the tree. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring. Pest and Disease Control: Watch for pests like aphids and diseases such as fire blight or cankers. Landscape Use: Ornamental Value: Beautiful foliage, flowers, and berries make it a standout feature in gardens. Wildlife Habitat: The berries attract birds and mammals. Windbreak or Screening: Useful in shelterbelts or as a standalone specimen. Fall Color: Provides excellent autumn interest. How to Grow from Seed: Stratification: Mix seeds with moist sand or peat and store them in a refrigerator at 33?41F (0.5?5C) for 2?3 months. Sowing: After stratification, plant seeds in pots or a seedbed with well-draining soil. Cover lightly with soil, about 0.25 inches deep. Germination: Maintain a consistent moisture level. Germination occurs in spring and may take several weeks to months. Transplanting: Once seedlings have grown 4?6 inches tall, they can be transplanted into a larger pot or directly into the landscape. Patience is required, as growth from seed can take several years to reach a substantial size. =s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s==s=s Free shipping to Canada- and USA Selected seeds only Add this item to your cart and keep shopping-- at https://www.ebay.ca/usr/okiger-2i55iwk =s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s==s=s=s=s=s=s=s= Shipping of Seeds and Cuttings: Orders are shipped via Canada Post Mail unless otherwise specified.
