Descripción del Artículo

European Heirloom. Hungarian Tomato Pepper -Eastern European Pepper Staple. This variety was brought to America and is known in North American as Kalman's Tomato Pepper, or Hussli Tomato Pepper or Hungarian Tomato Pepper- these are named after the families who brought these peppers to America. Our seed is from a European source. So much more of a heirloom variety. The Tomato Pepper is a small, heavy pepper iw a shape reminiscent of an heirloom tomato. Its thick walls that are twice a thick as most other peppers contribute to their weight. This gives them a meaty, yet crunchy texture and exceptional juiciness. The plants reach 2oe feet tall and are heavy producers. The Tomato pepper is sweet and mildly spicy, with just a little heat, similar to a Poblano- although heat level can vary significantly between peppers. When fully ripe the fruit turn a deep crimson red, but they are often enjoyed when picked before full ripeness when fully green or just beginning to blush. It is excellent raw, and can also be pickled. Although they can be eaten raw, they are milder, meatier and juicier when cooked. The ripe peppers are also used in soups, stews, sauces, salsa, and canning. Like heirloom tomatoes, Tomato peppers were not bred for shipping and storing. Instead, they have been grown for flavor and sweetnes =s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s=s==s=s=s=s=s=s=s= Seed Shipping: Flat Rate Low Shipping fee- no matter how many seeds you order! We will ship seeds anywhere in the world, however, please make sure you check with your country's customs office to be sure that they are allowed in.
