Antique Real Photo Postcard, circa pre-1920. Identified as a birds-eye view of the town of Sebec, Maine. Published by Eastern Illustrating Co. Card No.1. Divided back, unused. Condition: This is an original photo postcard, not a copy or reproduction. It is in very good condition. Comments: Sebec is a town in Piscataquis County, Maine, United States. The population was 665 at the 2020 census. The name Sebec is derived from the Indian name Sebecco, by which the lake was originally called. According to the town web site, "It is one of the six townships granted to Bowdoin College by Massachusettes in 1794." Sebec was settled in 1803 by Dr. Ezekiel Chase.
