I am fully aware of what it takes to repair and restore a vintage or used animated mechanical figure and if the figure has any of these flaws, chances are I am fully aware of this, so pointing out the flaws and what it takes to fix them is not necessary, and pointing them out won?t lower the price any. Now for the description: I am selling a vintage animated mechanical Christmas store display set of 2 reindeer made by David Hamberger Displays. They are from the Van Deer Christmas Party scene. Based on the gray and black plugs, we believe they were made in the late 1980?s or later. The violin player moves his arm with bow, the seated deer move his head up and down. Motors sound normal and are currently working as shown. The motor or figure do not come with any guarantees since it?s vintage. The standing deer measures approximately 60? tall and the seated deer is approximately 48? tall. Sold as shown. The standing deers issues are: at some point his motor has been replaced. At that time a large part of his latex torso was removed, so his non moving arm and head are supported only by the frame of the motor box, some areas of light scrapes and marks throughout the body as to be expected from a used animated mechanical figure, no other issues. The seated deer has also had a motor replacement at some point, but still has a good portion of his torso intact, a couple of antlers have been broken off and repaired as shown. The antlers were also repainted after that. Below his neck there is some wear as shown. Finally the original animated base that rocked his chair is not available, only the chair with deer as shown. Some stains to his shirt. No other major issues we can Due to their size and fragile antlers, these are available for local pickup only. Pickup is available from Ada. Oklahoma.
