Silvercel Antimicrobial Dressing Silvercel Antimicrobial Dressing is a sterile, non-woven pad composed of a high G (guluronic acid) alginate, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and silver coated nylon fibres. Due to the excellent fluid handling capacity and the prolonged antimicrobial activity Silvercel is an ideal dressing for the management of chronic wounds. Antimicrobial Action: Silvercel provides a sustained release of silver ions for up to 7 days, allowing for an effective antimicrobial protection for the entire wear time, depending on the level of exudate. Silvercel is effective against more than 150 wound pathogens, including MRSA, MRSE, VRE, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia Coli, Streptococcus pyogenes, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Candida albicans Absorbency: The unique composition of the dressing manages exudates in moderate to heavily exuding wounds, promoting a favourable environment for effective wound management.
