This is a gorgeous glass sunflower cake stand. It is a marigold orange / gold color - it reminds me of the iridescent finish on depression glass pieces. The center of the sunflower has black glass "seeds." The design is embedded in the glass - the top surface is clear and smooth. It almost looks like fused glass. The back is metallic gold, which gives the piece an allover glow. The pedestal is hollow and has a swirl texture pressed pattern. There are no markings of any kind, and I could not find a match anywhere online. It does appear to be a quality piece, and is very striking. It would look gorgeous as part of an autumn or Thanksgiving Buffet or Tablescape. Excellent pre-owned condition, from a smoke free home.
