The Spring 2014 China Yunnan Pu-er Purple Tea cake sample was made from wild tea tree leaves. The wild trees are located in Northwest Dehong County, China, and grow wild in forests at an altitude of over 1600 meters/5249+ feet. The wild tea leaves contain purple anthocyanins and polyphenols to protect them from UV damage and gives the tea leaves a purple-reddish appearance. Drinking purple pu-er tea may be beneficial for overall health.
This 2014 Purple Pu-erh tea cake sample is complex, has a long lasting aftertaste, and golden-like tea liquor.
