TotalPond Sludge Remover: Naturally clears organic build-up: This is a liquid treatment that contains a blend of naturally occurring beneficial bacteria for optimal cleaning. How it works: The beneficial bacteria clears organic build-up, controls odors and breaks down fish waste, phosphates, and other water pollutants in your pond. When to use: Add Sludge Remover when your pond is experiencing sludge or organic build-up. Increase filter efficiency: The sludge remover can help eliminate debris accumulation in filters, making filters more efficient with less maintenance required. Dosage: One 16 fl. oz. bottle treats up to 960 gallons of water. For best results: Discontinue use once water temperatures are below 50F. For maximum pond cleaning: Use TotalPond Sludge Remover 48 hours after TotalPond Water Clarifier (see my listing for TotalPond Water Clarifier) Add one capful (5mL) for every 10 gallons of pond or fountain water. Dose every two weeks once water temperatures are above 50F; discontinue use once water temperatures are below 50F. Aeration TIP: Especially in warm weather, before using water treatments make sure the pond has strong, constant aeration ? ex. fountain, waterfall, or other aeration devices ? to avoid low oxygen levels.
