One of the rarest Tove and Moomin collector's item. This series is one of the nine saved first ever commercial Moomin items from 1956. Two of the sheets have some little damages on the bottom, that's why price is much lower. Sheets in good condition which I have for sale are $900 (see pictures from damages). Anders Landen has presented these Moomin rarities right on the first pages of his new 500 pages book "Treasures from Moomin Valley", the commercial story of the Moomins began through these pictures. The story of these first Moomin rarities is well told in the book. These were the first products with Moomin theme Tove Jansson gave permission to manufacture, the year was 1956. Only a few complete and intact sheets was saved. Statement / certificate of authenticity included. After rediscovery the first to acquire them were the Moomin Museum and Moomin Characters for their collections. Authenticity was verified with the Moomin Museum prior to the exhibition and confirmed that these are the first commercial Moomin prints ever. Printed by Helsinki Kromipaino in 1956. They were printed only for Stockmann Helsinki and NK Stockholm to be used for the first commercial Moomin products manufactured by former Vaasan Saippuatehdas (1886-1987) in Vaasa Finland.
