This is a small brooch. It is 1 1/2 inches from nose to tail. There is a cabochon set oval pearl in the center of the shell and there are two rows of rhinestones around the pearl, which makes up the shell. The feet and tail are gold colored and have a texture to them. The head is rhinestones and the eyes are emeralds. When I state the gemstone or coating of the piece, that is the look of the finish and stones--not that they are real. They look real, but I am certain they are not. The piece is signed "Roman". It is a good quality brooch. It is 1 inch wide. With the clasp it is 1 inch high so can accommodate a jacket. The clasp and pin work well. There are no missing stones.
