This is two vintage silverplated candlestick holders with votives. The Gorham Silver Company produced these between 1950 and late 1970's as part of the Newport Silverplate Line. A mid-century collection known for combining timeless style with fine craftsmanship. They were made using the electroplated silver technique over a durable base metal. This technique features a product line with a bright polished finish and a felted basefor surface protection and authenticity. These also still have the original "Newport" label on their bottom felt base. This design reflects the classic Colonial Revival style that was popular at the time which offered both vintage charm and enduring quality. To maintain their shine, gently polish with a soft silver cloth or a mild silver cream when needed- avoid harsh abrasives that may remove plating. Always wash by hand using a mild soap with warm water then dry immediately with soft towel. Store in a dry tarnish resistant bag or cloth when not in use to protect the finish. This piece will look stunning displayed on dining table, mantle or sideboard, especially paired with other vintage silver or crystal decor. As an added bonus I threw in two glass votives you may want to use or may not, originally there was no votives on them. Each of the holders is 3.25"tall and has a base that is 3.5" wide. The top rim of holder 1.75" in diameter and has a hole for candle measuring .750" diameter. Each weighs almost 8 ounces without votive on, with it on they weigh almost 14 ounces. Additionally since these have glass pieces they will be packaged in a small box and wrapped then placed in larger box with plenty of padding to protect them
