Victorian 10k Yellow Gold Round Genuine Natural Diamond Locket 14k Chain #J7356 10k yellow gold round locket with diamond on chain. The Victorian locket measures just over 1 3/8" long with bail by 1 1/8" diameter. There is a small round earth mined diamond accent measuring about 2.5mm set in an engraved starburst. The locket has a rich gold color, looks like 18k plated over the solid 10k which was not uncommon for the period. There is a fancy three letter monogram engraved on the reverse, looks like MLR? The pendant includes a 24" 14k yellow gold chain with eighteen pierced decorative links. The necklace weighs 6.55 dwt., and the locket dates from about 1890 with a newer chain. Charming!
