This is a super find! Very Good condition, soft and cloud like. The bright aqua color is dreamy too. When I purchased this at an estate sale there was no mention of it being silk, but it felt like silk to me. I handle a lot of silk scarves and can usually tell. I did a bit of snooping and i found the same robe, in green, that just sold here on this site. It is the same robe, with pleated lapel and pocket edging, tasseled belt tie, embroidery etc. (except it was in nowhere near as nice condition as this robe). The label on the other robe was different and there was a label id-ing it as silk and made in japan. Quite often merchandise was produced and sold by different companies. So i feel confident now listing this as silk. The condition is lovely. It may have been worn a few times but no way was this an everyday item and it was stored away properly over all these year. No moth holes! All the places that usually show wear like the back of the collar, cuffs, inside lining under arms... are just clean and fresh on this robe.
