Up for sale this week are vintage annuals-yearbooks from Abilene Texas Christian College, purchased at an estate sale in West Texas. I love looking thru these old books and looking at all their clothing and hair styles. Two names recurring throughout these books are Eldie Riley from Coahoma Texas and James Bryan Collins from Big Springs Texas. They went to the Naval Training Camp together in 1918, there are early annuals from 1915-1918 where they attended college at ACC, then it skips to 1926, this volume was dedicated to Bryan Collins from Abilene Christian College. He was on the board for many years and was instrumental in fundraising and donations to expand the college. Then comes Betty Collins, I believe she is Bryan Collins daughter, carries on the tradition and attends college in 1942-45. She was a very detailed person, as many of books have handwritten excerpts on almost every page. Later as Bryan Collins was on the board of the college, he was given yearbooks as a complimentary gift, they are thru the 50's. The students that put together the annuals also did artwork throughout and the advertising in the back is incredible! There are so many detailed pictures I had trouble picking only 12 pictures to display. Maybe someone has relatives in these, they are very neat because of the history in these. I have many items for sale and I can't be an expert on them all, so please email with questions before bidding and I'll try to answer you. I don't sale any items that are damaged without pointing to the flaws, but I am only human.
