This is a Hard-To-Find, VINTAGE, EXCELLENT Condition, Hand Crafted "Cast Wrought Iron Scroll Petal Double Twisted Handle Basket" made in the mid-1950s. My neighbor purchased this HANDSOME Basket in 1954 and used it through the mid-1990s when it was packed away and forgotten about. Recently rediscovered, it has been safely and securely stored for almost 20 years. With normal, age related wear (see pictures), it is in EXCELLENT Condition with an age appropriate Patina and NO damage; it comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home. This Mid-Century Basket has a GROOVY MOD design and was crafted the old-fashioned way by a talented metal artist. The design and shape make it quite versatile whether you display it empty for it's metal sculpture quality or to display many different arrangements from dried florals and faux fruit to decorative spheres and pine cones, or use it as a catchall in any entryway or family room table. The Basket with Handle stands approximately 12 inches tall, with the bowl of the Basket measuring approximately 12 inches long and approximately 7 inches wide; it is NOT Marked or Signed. In USABLE Condition, this a FABULOUS, SIMPLE, Well Made, Mid-Century Home Decor Accessory! Made with Wrought Iron, this BEAUTIFUL Basket features double rounded rope handles, scroll details and petal shaped petals combined in a way that makes a STATEMENT!
