Vintage Pressed Glass Round Butter Dish, Turning Purple, VERY GOOD CONDITION You are bidding on this nice vintage pressed glass round butter dish. It is in very good condition, with no cracks, but there are some marks within the glass at the point where the lid meets the bottom that look like they are cracks within the glass, and there is one small chip on the top rim of the bottom portion of the dish, and another slightly larger one on the inside at the bottom where the bottom turns up into the side of the dish, and one very tiny one on the outer edge of the widest portion. This dish looks a little large to be a butter dish to me, so it may be a covered relish dish. I am unsure of the age or origins of the dish, but it looks quite old, and is just barely beginning to turn purple. It is about 6.5” tall at the top of the handle on the lid, is 1.5” deep, 8.25” in diameter around the largest outer rim, and 5” in diameter around the inner rim. It is a very nice older looking piece of pressed glass, turning purple, and would be a wonderful addition to any glass collection.
