This Vintage Quaker City Pennsylvania Transportation Track or Rail Thermometer is used for laying track. The temperature readings appear to be accurate with no breaks or cracks in the thermometer. The encasement is wood and protects the glass thermometer. It has two magnets in the base that have strong holding capability. Very nice construction.
