Vintage white milk glass Darning Egg / nesting egg. Has Pontil on one end which shows that it’s hand blown. From the early 1900s. Gloss/glass finish. In years past, these old darners were put in the toe of a stocking to help in the stitching repair. These white glass ones were also sometimes used as nesting eggs. Very sturdy and good shape. No chips or cracks. Still great for use or for the vintage sewing materials collector. Measures 2.5” x 1.75”
