When they arrived in a new settlement, they sold the goods and traded the lambskins for new wool. With this wool, they wove rugs for their own use and also to sell to other people who came to their settlements. The patterns are most often done in red, blue, white or black. The tone of the wool that they use is generally creamy white or light brown. They weave the wool into different shapes that include squares, rectangles and triangles. The pattern is generally woven into the border area of the rug.
