Throughout the 1880s and 1890s the Woolson Spice Company created advertising images as premiums in their packages of Lion Brand Coffee. The trade cards often commemorated major holidays or significant events. Women and children were also portrayed, such as the card in this listing. This card features the portrait of a girl in a lacy collar. The gold border that frames the image is artfully embossed. It's in fair condition with damage at the edges and corner wear. Do note that a section of the right border is completely missing. This card measures approximately 3 1/2 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches tall.
