WWII, UNIFORM, 110th INF. 28TH DIV. BATTLE OF THE BULGE, MEDALS, NAMED This grouping came to us directly from the family estate. Staff Sergeant Clyde Burton Tucker. C Company, 110th Infantry, 8th Corps, 3rd Army. Service Number: 33905832 Date of Birth: 29 July 1920 Date of Death: 27 February 2003 Enlisted: U.S. Army, 12 July 1944. Jacket: Size: 38L Markings: S/SGT. Tucker 33-905-832 Quartermaster tag is intact and dated: 5/10/44 Overseas Stripes Condition: Very Good! No signs of mothing, rips. There is a white stain on the backside, left shoulder blade area. (See images) Collar Brass: U.S. 110: Screw back Crossed Rifles, Enlisted: Screw back Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI?s): 110th Infantry Regiment, Clutch backs Expert Infantryman Badge: Pin back Sterling Expert Marksmanship Badge, with Rifle Bar: Pin back, Sterling Ribbons: Bronze Star Good Conduct American Defense Campaign European?African?Middle Eastern Campaign with 4 bronze campaign stars. There is a stain on the ribbon drape. Asiatic Pacific Campaign WWII Victory Patches: 8th Army Corp 28th Pennsylvania Keystone Division Honorable Discharge Bevo patch (Rubber Duck) Staff Sergeant Chevrons on wool Trousers: Size: Waist-33; Length-33 Markings: Assorted Markings Belt: Web Belt with brass buckle Condition: Overall good condition. The stitching has come loose on the back of the upper seam. Shirt: Patches: 28th Pennsylvania Keystone Division Staff Sergeant Chevrons Markings: Just below the inside of the collar there are faint markings. Appears to be Service Number: 33905832. The number ?69? is stamped on the inside of the collar. Overseas Cap: Size: Unmarked Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI): 110th Infantry Regiment, Clutch back Leather Sweatband: Supple leather. The stitching has come loose on the sweatband near the front of the cap. There is a small moth nip near the back of the cap near the peak. Markings: None to be found. Condition: Very Good. SIZE 38R, DATED 1942 + 1945 is listed at: item number:167225043659 C Company, 110th Infantry, part of the 8th Corps within the 3rd Army, played a significant role in the Battle of the Bulge, particularly known for their fierce defensive stand against overwhelming German forces in the Ardennes region, holding a critical section of the front line and preventing a major German breakthrough by sacrificing themselves to buy time for other Allied units to reinforce key positions like Bastogne.
