Descripción del Artículo

YELLOW FACE is an original hand printed monotype painting print. Image size is approximately 8" x 10". Print is unmatted and unframed and is signed in pencil. A monotype is a unique "one of a kind" print which combines painting and drawing with printmaking. The image is drawn or painted on to a plastic plate and run through an etching press which transfers the image on to damp paper. This process affords the artist to create images that can not be produced by any other means. I am a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and have taught printmaking at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts for about 25 years, and have also taught at Carnegie Mellon University pre college program and Seton Hill University. I've exhibited at many galleries and museums throught Pennsylvania, Ohio and other regions including the prestigious Print Center in Philadelphia, Morgan Conservatory in Cleveland, International Print Center New York, Hoyt Institute of Art, Art Association of Harrisburg, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Westmoreland Museum of American Art, The Dairy Barn Art Center in Athens Ohio, Touchstone Gallery and Washington Printmakers Gallery in Washington DC, Maryland Federation of Art in Annapolis and others.
