Descripción del Artículo
Vintage original 11 x 14 in. US lobby card from the 1930's US Navy-themed musical comedy/romance, FOLLOW THE FLEET, released in 1936 by RKO Radio Pictures and directed by Mark Sandrich, in which a Navy sailor tries to rekindle a romance with the woman he loves while on liberty in San Francisco.
Printed for the film's 1953 US theatrical re-release that was also by RKO Radio Pictures, the image depicts US sailors Bake Baker (Fred Astaire) and Bilge Smith (Randolph Scott) as they paint portions of their ship. It is unrestored in near-fine condition as shown.
During the fight scene between Fred Astaire and Randolph Scott, Astaire - not skilled in movie fight scenes - accidentally bloodied Scott's nose; Astaire was mortified, while Scott remained pointedly nonchalant.
