RARE! This is the only one currently listed on this site or that has recently sold.
Made by CLARKE, GILBERT CO. out of Winchester Conn. USA in the late 1800's.
Large 25 3/4" tall and 15 1/2" wide. Looks to be walnut but please see pictures to be sure.
Includes two weights, pendulum, and pendulum hanger.
Both sides wind. The weights still have their top hooks. The strings that hold the weights are intact. The reverse painted scene has some pealing. The veneer has a small amount of peeling as seen in pictures. (see pictures) It may or may not need adjustment due to being over 100 years old. It runs for a short time only. PLEASE AS QUESTIONS IF NEEDED. I would be more than glad to answer any questions or take further pictures.
