Descripción del Artículo
This is a wonderful David Austin bred English rose of the finest quality. Help me find website gives this very accurate discription of the James Galway rose here:
Bred by David C. H. Austin (1926-2018) (United Kingdom, before 2000). Introduced in United Kingdom by David Austin Roses Limited (UK) in 2000 as 'James Galway'. Climber, Shrub. (Series: English Rose Collection) Light pink. Moderate, old rose fragrance. Average diameter 3.25". Medium, very full (41+ petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Tall, climbing, upright. Large, semi-glossy, medium green foliage. Height: 4OE' to 8' (130 to 245cm). Width: 42" to 10' (105 to 305cm).
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for cut flower or garden. Can be grown as a shrub. can be trained as a climber. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant. Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
Flutist James Galway was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, 8 December 1939. His namesake rose was presented at the May 2000 Chelsea Flower Show.
We have one nice plant (shown, or similiar to the potted plants in the attached pics.). This is one of David Austin's best creations. Our mother plant climbs up along a pergula and is full of the most beautiful blooms for a long period and then blooms intermitingly throughout the season. It is very disease free, nice foliage, great fragrance, many peteled Austin. We grow many David Austins and this is one of his very best. It is a climber (or can be grown as a tall upright). The foliage is better than most of his. It is taller, more of a prolific bloomer and overall better than any of his others. A sight to see!
Disclaimer: Please note that we cannot be responsible for
your results. If you receive them damaged, please let us know. We have no
control over its environment or care. We grow the plants ourselves and always
use a high-quality, well-lit, and well-drained planting medium for
planting. Place the plants in a bright
location outside, but not in direct sunlight. You may have damage to the leaves
during shipping - this is normal and only cosmetic - new leaves will grow
quickly with proper care. We do our best to package your plant with care to
cause minimal or hopefully no damage to its leaves damage it, but it happens.
It is important to read all the information about this plant to understand the
approximate size. Some varieties of roses are susceptible to black spot or
mildew, and some are not. This is mainly cosmetic, and once the rose is planted
and goes through a short term of transplant shock, the plant will recover and
sprout out new, fresh leaves, provided the plant is treated with care. WE
DELIVER WITHOUT POTS, bare root, wrapped in wet padding, and placed in a
plastic bag, ensuring the roots arrive wet and vibrant. We send receiving and
planting instructions with every order. There is always some stress from
traveling, but plants are very hardy. If your plant arrives with serious
problems, you MUST notify us immediately (no more than 24 hours from receipt
and provide photographs. Please treat it
like a puppy in a box.
Returns exchanges not accepted
You will receive one-2 yr (approx) old bare rooted plant
wraped in wet paper and enclosed in a plastic bag shipped promptly (2-3
days).
