It is one of the most easily destroyed nutrients during food preparation, storage and cooking processes. Pharma Nord Bio-C-Vitamin is made with a non-acidic vitamin C source (calcium ascorbate) and is gentle on the stomach lining. Suggested Use Pharma Nord recommends 1 tablet per day or as directed by physician. Other Ingredients Microcrystalline cellulose, Magnesium stearate, Silicon dioxide, Hydroxypropl methyl cellulose, Talc, Titanium dioxide. Warnings / Contraindications The toxicity of vitamin C is extremely low with intakes of 1000mg being safely taken. Intakes in excess of 2000mg per day may cause gastro-intestinal disturbance in susceptible individuals and may also interfere with absorption of calcium and selenium. Vitamin C facilitates the absorption of iron from the diet, therefore high doses should not be taken by those with iron overload syndromes such as thalasaemia and haematochromatosis High intakes of vitamin C should not be taken by those susceptible to kidney stones.
