US single-weight glossy copy photograph (not a vintage original photo printed at the time it was taken) from the classic 1950's sci-fi action thriller, THE WAR OF THE WORLDS, released in 1953 by Paramount Pictures and directed by Byron Haskin. Based upon the famous novel by H.G. Wells, a small town in California is attacked by Martians, beginning a worldwide invasion. The cast includes Gene Barry, Ann Robinson, Les Tremayne, Robert Cornthwaite, Sandra Giglio, and Lewis Martin. The image features an iconic scene of the Martian war machines attacking a small California town as they slowly survey the area. This copy photograph was signed in red Sharpie by Ann Robinson, most likely at one of the Hollywood Collector Shows that were formerly held in Burbank, California. The photograph itself is in fine- condition with random wear along the edges and on the corners. Miss Robinson's signature has smudged over time, most likely from being inside a plastic sleeve.
