Descripción del Artículo
Vintage original Second Revised Final Draft script from the 1970's crime drama television series, DOG AND CAT, created by Walter Hill. It is from Season 1, Episode 4, which was entitled Brother Death, in which a freelance photographer blackmails a murderer when he captures the killing on film. The cast includes Lou Antonio, Kim Basinger, Matt Clark, Ron Burke, John Korkes, Tannis G. Montgomery, Richard Mulligan, Joseph Stern, and Gary Wood.
Written by William Keys (under the initial title of The Girl From Georgia) and dated January 28, 1977, this Second Revised Final Draft script consists of four acts and a closing TAG scene in 59 pages on canary stock which were 3-hole punched and bound with one brass brad without any covers. It is complete in overall very fine- condition with the rusted outline of a small paperclip on the top left corner of the title page and page 1 with random signs of wear around the edges of the title page. After the last page is one page indicating that this script was printed by Barbara's Place, which has the rusted outline of a small paperclip on the top edge which made a similar mark on the back of page 59. There are no missing pages, tears, stains, or other flaws, nor are there any handwritten notations present within.
Dog and Cat is an American television series that aired on ABC on Saturday night at 10:00 p.m Eastern time in 1977. Lou Antonio played Sgt. Jack Ramsey, an undercover detective with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), who found himself teamed with a very green partner named J.Z. Kane (Kim Basinger). Together, they formed a relationship based on friendship and trust (completely platonic) that led to them capturing many of L.A.'s criminals. Lieutenant Arthur Kipling (Matt Clark) was their boss."Dog and Cat" is a slang term used by police officers to denote a male-female partnership. The show is especially remembered for the car that Kim Basinger used in the series: a souped-up Volkswagen Beetle with a Porsche engine. Lawrence Gordon pitched the show to ABC, who bought it. He took it to Paramount, who produced it. The show as one of the first supervised by Brandon Tarfikoff when he was at ABC. It replaced Most Wanted, which moved to Monday night.
